The School series of Research Seminars for the autumn semester is well underway and last month a very engaging session was delivered by lecturer Jill Will. Jill carried out a small study about care home residents keeping and updating their own records for her MSc project, and this was presented in the session. She also introduced a new study she and others in the School will begin soon on staff resilience in the care home setting. This study has received funding from NHS Grampian Endowments. The care home sector is currently under researched and we feel it is an area in which more studies can be carried out to inform practice and enhance care.
